UnitedHealthcare introduces app for Medicaid, CHIP beneficiaries

Minneapolis-based UnitedHealthcare's Health4Me app is now available to Medicaid beneficiaries in 17 states.

Health4Me was launched in 2012 as a tool for members to access health information, contact clinicians and view their personal health benefits information. Now, 4.4 million UnitedHealthcare Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries in Arizona, Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin can make use of the Medicaid version of the app.

"We know consumers nationwide use mobile devices to access health information, so Health4Me provides a significant resource for Medicaid beneficiaries to help them more easily understand, manage and use their health benefits," said Brett Edelson, vice president of UnitedHealthcare's Medicaid business. "We are empowering consumers with valuable, personalized health information that enables them to more effectively navigate the health care system and access clinical support anytime, anywhere."
