Jump Technologies plans to improve the automation and accuracy of patient billing at the health system by matching patient IDs with products removed from inventory and used in that patient’s treatment.
By integrating the health system’s ADT (Admit, Discharge, Transfer) and charge capture messaging with the JumpStock inventory management solution, the organizations have devised a system where supplies used for patient care will be automatically assigned to the patient record to ensure more accurate billing services.
“JumpTech has provided a great solution for our automated inventory replenishment approach in nursing units,” said CRH’s director of supply chain management Seth Larson. “We worked with JumpTech to develop an ADT interface and a charging application that is working well in our cancer treatment center and we’ll expand to labor and delivery soon.”
Jumpstock also aims to help CHR reduce costs by better managing supplies throughout the organization.
“We’re very pleased to work with CRH to help them advance their goals of greater automation, accuracy of patient billing and enhanced supply management, with the added benefit of cost reductions,” said Jump Technologies CEO John Freund. “Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is known for innovation in both patient care and business processes.”
