For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Nov. 27-Dec. 1

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare saw the greatest increase in share price at 8.9 percent.

Here is how the five operators stacked up as of Dec. 1.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.36 per share (up 4.3 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $84.04 per share (up 8.9 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $46.35 per share (up 2.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $13.50 per share (down 1.7 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $108.09 per share (up 7.6 percent)
