Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania Posts $80M Profit

Lehigh Valley Health Network, based in Bethlehem, Pa., finished the 2011 fiscal year ended Sept. 30 with a profit of $80 million and $1.5 billion in revenue, according to a Morning Call report.

The health system also had a 5.3 percent operating margin, which CEO Ronald Swinfard, MD, said is needed in the current economic and healthcare environment, according to the report.


Admissions were up 2.4 percent from 2010, outpatient registrations were up 1.6 percent and visits to LVHN physicians were up 7.6 percent.
