3D Technology Allows Hospital OR Surgeons to Operate More Efficiently

The same kind of three-dimensional technology hitting movie theaters is making its way into hospital operating rooms, according to a local ABC news report.

Hospital OR surgeons can insert a three-dimensional endoscope into a patient's nose. Once they put on polarized glasses, surgeons are able to view the patient's brain three-dimensionally. Such technology allows surgeons to perform endoscopic brain surgery with a clearer view of the brain, according to the report.
