Adventist Commits $58M to New California Hospital

Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health has committed $58 million to the construction of a new Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits, Calif., according to a report in The Press Democrat.

Plans for the replacement hospital have been on hold during six years of fundraising, according to the report. Adventist will build the 25-bed hospital, and the Frank R. Howard Foundation will build additional medical buildings on the campus.

Construction on the non-hospital portions of the complex is expected to begin this year. Plans for the new hospital must receive state approval before construction can begin, according to the report.
