Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Services Hospital Seeks Partner

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services in Gallup, N.M., is looking to merge its 69-bed hospital with another hospital or healthcare organization, according to a New Mexico Business Weekly report.

After completing an assessment of the hospital's financial and operational issues as well as market position, the board of trustees decided to explore strategic affiliations, according to the report.

"It is our fiduciary responsibility to position and strengthen the hospital so it can deliver those services for years to come," Rehoboth Board Chair Kathy Head said, according to the report. "Any decision about whether to remain completely independent or to enter into a strategic partnership or affiliation is very difficult and must be made with much deliberation and consideration."

Additional details on the partnership search were not disclosed.
