St. Paul, Minn.-based Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare celebrated its 120-year anniversary Tuesday, hosting a party with current and former patients, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
The 60-bed hospital was founded by Arthur Gillette, MD, in 1897 and treated 25,267 patients in 2016. The party Tuesday featured animals from the Minnesota Zoo and various mascots from local sports teams.
"We're always going to continue to focus on what's next, what's new," hospital spokesman Nick Hanson told St. Paul Pioneer Press. "We also want to continue to keep our families and patients the center of our focus."
