Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare selected Jeff Cohen to serve as senior vice president of government relations, effective Oct. 1.
Most recently, Mr. Cohen served as executive vice president of public affairs at the Federation of American Hospitals. He acted as chief lobbyist for the association and managed all advocacy, public affairs and communications.
Mr. Cohen succeeds Vic Campbell, who will retire Feb. 29, 2020. Mr. Campbell has worked with HCA for 47 years, joining the company’s finance department in 1972. He has led HCA's government relations team since 1997. Mr. Campbell also served as chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals for three terms.
