GE Healthcare has discovered some "inaccuracies" in the reporting functions of its Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity Electronic Medical Record products, according to an InformationWeek report.
Michael Friguletto, vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare, said the problems may skew some results from SAP's Crystal Reports or GE's Medical Quality Improvement Consortium reporting tools used to prove meaningful use, according to the report. However, the underlying clinical data in the EMR have not been affected.
The inaccuracies may affect GE customers' attestation for meaningful use. The company recommended users that have already attested rerun the reports and that users planning to attest wait until the software is updated, which GE plans to do by the end of November.
