CMS has announced it will increase Medicare payments to inpatient psychiatric facilities by 1.9 percent for fiscal year 2013, which begins Oct. 1 of this year.
The percentage increase includes a market basket rate boost of 2.7 percent minus 0.8 percent reductions from adjustments required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
