University of Michigan Health to Open New Children's & Women's Hospitals This Fall

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based University of Michigan Health System plans to open its new C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital in November, according to a UMHS news release.


The hospitals will move into a new 1.1 million square foot facility. The new children's facility will include special outpatient clinics for pediatric otolaryngology and audiology patients, a pediatric emergency department and a family resource center, among other features. The new women's hospital will include 50 private maternity rooms.

The hospitals will hold an open house to kick off the grand opening on Nov. 6.
