The hospital broke ground on the entrance of the new facility, Hoops Family Children's Hospital, on Friday. The $12 million children's hospital will be located on the fifth floor of Cabell Huntington's main facility and will feature a 26-bed medical/surgical unit and a 10-bed pediatric care unit.

Construction is expected to be complete in 2015.
