Vice President of Patient Care Services, Cape Coral Hospital

With roughly 1,200 associates, 600 physicians and 1,000 volunteers, Cape Coral Hospital proudly serves as the community’s center for health and wellness, providing patients and their families an optimal healing environment focused on health, prevention, healing and connectivity.  Cape Coral’s hospital services include a  Certified Primary Stroke Center, Surgical Services, Women’s Care, Family Birth Suites, a Special Care Nursery, a 10-bed Neurosurgical Progressive Care Unit, Cardiology/Diagnostic Cardiac Angiography, Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialists inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary diagnostics, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Chronic Disease Programs, Endoscopy/Gastroenterology, Certified Diabetes Program, Weight Management, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs, Lab Services and Imaging Services.

The Vice President of Patient Care Services (VPPCS) will enjoy holding joint responsibility for hospital operations in a dyad partnership with the Acute Care Medical Officer (ACMO) and will assist in fulfilling the mission of Lee Health through the provision of high quality, cost effective care. The VPPCS, in collaboration with other organizational leaders, will have the opportunity to design the provision of patient care and optimize clinical service delivery across the hospital.  This dynamic and innovative new leader will exemplify, serve and support a culture of operational excellence to accomplish Lee Health quality performance standards and exceptional care delivery.

The VPPCS will report to the Chief Acute Care Officer and Chief Administrative Officer while serving in a dyad partnership with the Acute Care Medical Officer. The VPPCS will work closely with a highly talented and experienced leadership team, clinical staff and hospital associates to ensure system alignment and facilitate positive relationships, positive communication and exceptional quality of care.  In addition, this new leader will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders throughout the continuum of care including outpatient areas and system service areas to support and implement Lee Health’s Mission, Vision and Values.

The successful candidate will bring their passion for continual performance improvement and quality care, a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), a Masters Degree in a related field and 5-10 years of demonstrated, successful executive leadership experience in a matrixed acute care setting.  Candidates with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or who are enrolled in a DNP Program are strongly encouraged to apply.
