Mayo Clinic Care Network Adds St. Elizabeth Healthcare

Cincinnati-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare has joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network operated by Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network allows members to share expertise and best practices to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare. Membership is a non-ownership relationship; St. Elizabeth will remain locally owned and operated. Healthcare organizations in states such as Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire and Florida are part of the network.

According to the release, the collaboration between St. Elizabeth and Mayo Clinic physicians will be rolled out initially for cardiovascular and neurological conditions, with opportunities for physicians to work together in additional specialties in the coming months.

St. Elizabeth physicians will have access to the following tools as part of the partnership:

• AskMayoExpert — a state-of-the-art electronic tool that provides access to Mayo Clinic's knowledge in disease management, clinical care guidelines, treatment recommendations and reference materials for a variety of medical conditions.

• eConsults — a service that connects physicians at St. Elizabeth Healthcare with Mayo Clinic experts when seeking additional input regarding a patient's care.
