Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island Announces Layoffs

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I., has announced plans to lay off several employees and shut down an outpatient therapy center, according to a WPRI news report.

The financially struggling facility did not disclose how many employees it would lay off and which departments those layoffs would affect. Landmark Medical Center is being sold to Boston-based Steward Health Care System, pending final state approval.
