St. Mary Medical Center recognized for LGBTQ equality 

Long Beach, Calif.-based St. Mary Medical Center has been recognized as a "top performer" by the Human Rights Campaign for their work toward LGBTQ equality. 

They were among the more than 700 healthcare facilities across the country recognized for their work as top performers or leaders in LGBTQ care.

"We are honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for our dedicated work with the LGBTQ+ community," said Paul Lovely, director of the CARE Center at St. Mary Medical Center in a news release. "We have a legacy of responding with urgency to the AIDS epidemic, supporting LGBTQ+ causes, expanding services for these patients, and are deeply committed to equity and inclusion in order to provide everyone with a welcoming and safe environment to receive care."
