Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has hired Oluyinka O. Olutoye, MD, to serve as surgeon-in-chief.
Dr. Olutoye, who assumed the role Aug. 1, will also serve as professor and the E. Thomas Boles chair of pediatric surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, also in Columbus.
Dr. Olutoye previously was co-director of the fetal center and immediate past president of the medical staff at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. He also was a tenured professor of surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston.
He is a past president of the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
