Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (Mass.) hired Mary Chapin, BSN, as vice president of ambulatory services and process improvement.

Here are three points:

1. Ms. Chapin most recently served as chief administrative officer for the Faculty Practice Foundation at Boston Medical Center.

2. Prior to that, she served in numerous clinical and administrative roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

3. In her new role, Ms. Chapin will oversee employed physician practices and hospital-wide process improvement initiatives.
