McKesson Health Solutions, a Newton, Mass.-based division of McKesson, announced that eight health plans began using its provider management and contract manager products in 2014.
The eight plans, which represent 8.5 million people, are using updated versions of McKesson's Network Management suite software, which includes a contract management program, provider manager program and a reimbursement manager program, according to a news release. The platform gathers payer and patient data into one repository and provides provider data as well as reimbursement strategies.
