16 cities fighting for Amazon's new HQ2

After Amazon announced plans to build a second North American headquarters — dubbed HQ2 — a number of cities expressed interest in submitting bid proposals, reports CNBC.

In its request for proposals, Amazon said it wanted to establish HQ2 in a city with more than 1 million people and that has access to an international airport, mass transit, quality higher education, a highly educated workforce and a business-friendly environment.

Here are 16 cities, listed in alphabetical order, vying for Amazon's HQ2, according to a separate report.
