Florida county approves rezoning for hospital expansion

The Clay County (Fla.) Board of County Commissioners has approved a rezoning request that will allow Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace, Fla.-based Orange Park Medical Center to build a 60,000-square-foot medical office building, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

In order to build the three-story building, the land needed to be rezoned from urban core residential, single-family residential and private services to community business district.

Before a building permit is granted, the development review committee must review the site plan.
