Brand New Day, a Westminster, Calif.-based health plan, will provide Medicare Advantage patients with unlimited nonemergency transportation to and from medical appointments and services.

The new service is available via Brand New Day's partnership with CareCar, announced Dec. 12. The CareCar service boasts specially trained drivers, all of whom must complete CPR and first aid training before beginning to drive for the company, and many of whom are certified nursing assistants.

Brand New Day members can access the service by phone, app or computer. The CareCar platform offers patients 24/7 support, door-to-door service and the ability to make driver and vehicle preferences, while health plan clients receive real-time monitoring and advanced analytics regarding their members' transportation.
