Alaska town approves $85M new hospital

Borough assembly members voted to approve a new $85 million hospital for Petersburg, Alaska, local news outlet KTOO reported April 28.

The new facility will replace the 60-year-old Petersburg Medical Center. Construction of the new hospital will be funded through a combination of state and federal grants.

Petersburg Medical Center's board is now drawing up plans for the new facility.
