Maine Medical Center in Portland received the largest single donation in its 150-year history on June 15.
John and Leslie Malone donated $25 million to help fund expansions at the hospital. With the Malones' gift, Maine Medical Center has raised $135 million toward its $150 million funding goal.
Funds will go toward three areas: capital projects, clinical education and modernization efforts.
