Cleveland hospitals enforce visitor restrictions due to flu season uptick

Multiple hospitals in the Cleveland area imposed age restrictions for visitors because of this year's aggressive flu season, according to Fox 8.

University Hospital Parma and University Hospital Elyria, both in Ohio,  are not allowing any visitors under 18 or any visitors who exhibit flu-like symptoms. Visitors must be over 12 years old to visit patients at Akron (Ohio) Children's Hospital through March 31.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health reports there have been 246 hospitalizations and over 1,100 emergency room visits for flu-related illnesses in the county so far this flu season.
