St. Catherine Hospital is first in Kansas to achieve HIMSS Stage 7

HIMSS has given St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kan., its EMR Adoption Model Stage 7 Award. The award makes St. Catherine Hospital the first in Kansas to reach Stage 7, the highest level attainable.

HIMSS Stage 7 hospitals are recognized for the ability to operate in a paperless environment and for representing best practices in EMR implementations.

St. Catherine Hospital is part of Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health, and it is the 15th Centura Health hospital to reach HIMSS Stage 7.

This accomplishment is indicative of our network's commitment to leverage technology to advance quality of care and patient safety," said Scott Taylor, CEO and president of St. Catherine Hospital.
