Holy Name Medical Center taps security firm to launch digital vaccine records

Teaneck, N.J.-based Holy Name Medical Center partnered with SICPA, a Springfield, Va.-based security firm, to roll out a digital health pass that securely stores patients' COVID-19 vaccination records, the organizations said June 24.

Holy Name is one of the first hospitals in the U.S. to offer the digital platform to patients, according to the news release. The Certus myHealth Pass lets hospitals and labs issuing COVID-19 vaccinations and tests create secure health certificates specific to the vaccine recipient.

The health pass comprises a unique QR code that businesses can scan to secure other documents such as patient referrals, diagnostic tests and prescriptions.
