Evolution of healthcare access strategy showcased by Hammes at Florida conference

In a recent press release,  Hammes Company (hammesco.com), one of the nation’s top healthcare developers, participated in a panel discussion about the shift in how healthcare is delivered and managed during the joint presentation by Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) South Florida and American Institute of Architects (AIA) Academy of Architecture for Health conference on Friday, May 4.

Representing Hammes was project executive Edwige Clark. The one-day conference was held in the West Palm Beach area at Riviera Beach Marine Event Center in Riviera Beach, Florida.

Eduardo Egea, vice president and managing principal at Leo Daly, moderated the noon panel discussion, titled “Disrupting the Future of Healthcare.” Joining Clark on the panel were Benjamin Riestra, chief administration officer at UHealth, and Larry Blackburn, vice president and Florida healthcare director at Turner Construction Company.

Clark is widely known for his thought leadership on the importance and evolution of healthcare access strategies and ambulatory care centers. During his presentation, he shared timely insight, pinpoint trends and highlighted the challenges of incorporating state-of-the-art technologies and modern amenities while also preparing for the future of healthcare management and delivery. Together, the panel addressed the long-term trends in innovative and flexible design, the future direction of healthcare facilities and strategies for solving the physical, operational and sustainability concerns of hospitals.
