Cerner has launched a new platform for third parties and client developers to collaborate and use SMART on FHIR tools for app development.
The website, Cerner Open Developer Experience (or code_), helps developers code using the SMART on FHIR tools, a set of standards which support open communications and application programming interface documentation.
"Fostering new ideas from the developer community enables us to reach a broader market of potential users," said Bob Robke, vice president of interoperability at Cerner. "It's this open platform that has potential to unlock the next cutting-edge solution that could benefit not only our entire client base, but the industry as well."
