ProHEALTH Care: Innovation Strategy

ProHEALTH Care, a Lake Success, N.Y.-based provider of primary, urgent and specialty care services with a focus on implementing the latest medical information and technology, has seen several of its departments deploy quality-improving innovations.

For example, ProHEALTH, which is part of the OptumCare provider network, extended its primary care hours to last until midnight, seven days a week and 365 days a year, with the introduction of its Extended Hours Center.

Additionally, the health system's Care Coordination Center offers around-the-clock access to telehealth services, including appointment scheduling, referrals, prescription refills and medical information.

Upcoming innovation projects across the ProHEALTH system include the introduction of multiple Centers of Excellence. These full-service facilities will each focus on an individual medical area, such as neck and back pain, and will address all needs related to that condition in a single appointment combining evaluation and treatment.
