Health information company Surescripts is partnering with Civitas Networks for Health as a business and technology partner.
Civitas Networks for Health is a national organization through which members can share health information and data. The partnership aims to lower healthcare costs and provide better-informed patient care, according to an Aug. 25 Surescripts news release.
"Surescripts has brought real-world interoperability to healthcare by filling gaps in patient information so that healthcare professionals can focus on providing care for their patients instead of time-consuming administrative tasks," Mike Pritts, chief product officer of Surescripts, said in the release. "Joining Civitas gives Surescripts the ability to expand our impact alongside industry partners to drive deeper and broader clinical interoperability that increases the quality of care and patient safety while lowering healthcare costs."
