Emerson Hospital adopts Cipher Health's rounding tool Orchid: 3 things to know

Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., has implemented a new, real-time nurse rounding application.

Here are three things to know.

1. Emerson Hospital is the first in the state to adopt Orchid from CipherHealth. Orchid is a nurse rounding application aimed at improving the patient experience.

2. Orchid, used on iPads, is designed to assess all aspects of a patient's hospital stay, including medical care, care coordination, pain management, satisfaction with food service and more.

3. "Since the launch of Orchid, Emerson has seen improvements in patient satisfaction scores and is creating processes to make sure that all patients receive the best all-around care to complement the outstanding clinical care they already receive," said Alex Hejnosz, co-founder of CipherHealth.
