The FDA Sentinel System is one of the largest multisite distributed databases in the world dedicated to drug safety. Veradigm will help Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute manage its Sentinel Operations Center as well as establish a new Sentinel Innovation Center, which will focus on creating innovative methods to further advance Sentinel such as extracting and structuring information from EHRs.
The Sentinel Operations Center forms partnerships in the areas of epidemiology, clinical medicine, pharmacy, health informatics and data science, among others.
Veradigm will be able to assist Harvard Pilgrim Health Institute with leveraging EHR data. The unit currently offers HealthInsights, a de-identified EHR database available for life sciences research and has been linked to integrated claims for research studies.
