70 CFO moves so far in 2014

The following is a compilation of all the hospital and health system CFO moves from 2014 as reported by Becker's Hospital Review, organized by month and beginning with the most recent.

July

1. Greenville, Ky.-based Muhlenberg Community Hospital, a 135-bed acute care hospital, selected Renee Orange to serve as CFO.

2. Alameda Health System, based in Oakland, Calif., appointed David Cox as the system's new CFO.

3. Aitkin, Minn.-based Riverwood Healthcare Center selected Casey Johnson as CFO.

4. Silver City, N.M.-based Gila Regional Medical Center announced the appointment of Omaira Heakin, CPA, as the new CFO.

5. Oklahoma City-based Foundation HealthCare announced the appointment Hubert King as its new CFO.

6. KentuckyOne Health named 35-year healthcare veteran Randall Combs, CPA, as its new CFO.

June

7. Marshall, Mo.-based Fitzgibbon Hospital hired Angy Littrell, CPA, as CFO and COO.

8. CFO of Flemingsburg, Ky.-based Fleming County Hospital, David Boyer, submitted his resignation.

9. CEO Bill Little announced Jennifer Weldon as CFO of Highlands Medical Center in Sparta, Tenn.

10. Nashville, Tenn.-based St. Thomas Health named Pamela Hess CFO of St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

11. Cincinnati-based Trihealth promoted Michael Crofton to senior vice president and CFO effective Sept. 1.

12. David Cox, the CFO of Greenbrae, Calif.-based Marin General Hospital, resigned

13. Gallatin, Tenn.-based HighPoint Health System appointed Bob Barrett as market CFO.

14. Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health announced Jonathan Swiatkowski its new executive vice president and CFO of the health system.

15. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (Mass.) named Jason Radzevich, MBA, CPA, as CFO.

16. Saginaw, Mich.-based Covenant HealthCare's Mark Gronda, vice president and CFO, announced plans to retire on Dec. 31.

17. Middletown, N.Y.-based Greater Hudson Valley Health System announced the appointment of Richard Carrico as CFO.

18. Florida Hospital Zephyrhills named Bill Heinrich CFO.

19. Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) General Hospital selected Michael Holt as assistant CFO.

20. White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital named David Ho senior vice president and CFO.

21. Paul Hopkins, CFO of Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Mo., was promoted to assistant director.

22. Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., appointed Alex Fernandez as CFO.

23. Ed Johlman, CFO of Sheridan (Wyo.) Memorial Hospital, stepped down from his role to accept another position.

24. Plano, Texas-based LHP Hospital Group selected John Ehrie as executive vice president and CFO.

25. Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas appointed Jennifer Le CFO.

26. Walla Walla (Wash.) General Hospital promoted Brian Anderson, vice president for outpatient services, was named interim CFO.

27. Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb selected Charla Rowley as CFO.

28. Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Ala., appointed Paul Peiffer CFO.

29. Bay St. Louis, Miss.-based Hancock Medical Center named Tom Ramsey CFO.

30. Hays (Kan.) Medical Center appointed George Harms vice president and CFO.

31. UMass Memorial Health Care, based in Worcester, Mass., named Sergio Melgar executive vice president and CFO.

32. Sonora (Calif.) Regional Medical Center selected Greg McCulloch as vice president of finance and CFO.

33. USMD Holdings, based in Irving, Texas, named Carolyn Jones as CFO.

34. Florence, S.C.-based Carolinas Hospital system selected Loren Rials as CFO.

35. CHE Trinity Health, based in Livonia, Mich., officially named Ben Carter as its executive vice president of finance and CFO.

36. Mercy Medical Center, a 445-bed hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, named Nathan Van Genderen its new CFO.

37. Doug Strong, CEO of Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, was named interim CFO of the university.

38. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton in Hamilton Township, N.J., named L. Gil Cottle senior vice president and CFO.

39. Glen Falls (N.Y.) Hospital named Mitchell Amado senior vice president and CFO.

40. Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa, named Gary Botine vice president and CFO.

41. Tristan Glanville, CFO of Ticonderoga, N.Y.-based Inter-Lakes Health, announced plans to leave the health system to accept the CFO role at Tupper Lake, N.Y.-based Adirondack Health.

42. Edward Chadwick, executive vice president and CFO of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., will not renew his contract and will leave the system. In his stead, Wake Forest Baptist named C. Michael Rutherford as its new CFO.

43. Rome (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital appointed Dewey Rowlands CFO.

44. Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska, selected Alan Germany as interim CFO.

45. Dallas-based Forest Park Medical Center named Elisa Banigan CFO of its Frisco campus.

46. Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky., selected Greg Moore as vice president and CFO.

47. HealthEast Care System, based in St. Paul, Minn., named Doug Davenport as senior vice president and CFO.

48. Carthage (N.Y.) Area Hospital selected Donald Schnackel as CFO.

49. Independence, Iowa-based Buchanan County Health Center selected Ben Stevens as CFO.

50. Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J., named David McClung CFO.

51. Los Angeles-based Keck Medical Center of University of Southern California named Robert Allen CFO.

52. Tom Tran, senior vice president and CFO of Tampa, Fla.-based WellCare is stepping down.

53. Nevada (Mo.) Regional Medical Center named Greg Shaw CFO.

54. Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., selected Daniel Porter as senior vice president and CFO.

55. Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Ga., named Tracie Burriss CFO.

56. Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare selected Stephen Farber as executive vice president and CFO.

57. Ann Berch, CFO of Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst, Miss., stepped down.

58. Rodney Van Donkelaar was named senior CFO of River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tenn., and Highlands Medical Center in Sparta, Tenn both of which are part of the Capella-St. Thomas Upper Cumberland health system.

59. Bill Overbey, CFO and CIO of Hays (Kan.) Medical Center, resigned.

60. Honolulu-based Queen's Health System selected Robert Nobriga as executive vice president and CFO.

61. Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., named Warren Ladner CFO.

62. Taos (N.M.) Health System named Steve Rozenboom CFO.

63. Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System named Karen Testman CFO.

64. Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N.C., named Gary "Skip" Smith vice president of finance and CFO.

65. University of Colorado Health, based in Fort Collins, announced Dan Rieber, vice president of finance and controller of the health system, will serve as interim CFO at Memorial Hospital.

66. Bonnie Blevins, CFO of Graham (Texas) Regional Medical Center, announced plans to retire.

67. Michael Lukaszewski, senior vice president and CFO of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health, retired.

68. Nashville, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems named W. Larry Cash president of financial services and CFO.

69. Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyo., selected Bryan Chalmers as CFO.

70. Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska, named Steve Huey CFO.
