Alameda Health System Names New CFO

Alameda Health System, based in Oakland, Calif., has appointed David Cox as the system’s new CFO.

Mr. Cox, a 30-year healthcare industry veteran, most recently served as CFO of Marin General Hospital and Marin General Healthcare District in Greenbrae, Calif. Before that, he was executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of Waterbury, Conn.-based St. Mary’s Health System, where he helped lead the development of one of the most successful breast cancer program in the region, according to a news release.

Mr. Cox earned his MBA from the University of Dayton in Ohio. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
