The 2015 American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize will be given to Aurora-based Children's Hospital Colorado.
The hospital, which will receive a $75,000 prize, was chosen based on its achievements in the Institute of Medicine's quality aims of safe, effective, efficient, timely, patient-centered and equitable healthcare.
Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Hospital was named a finalist and will receive a $12,500 prize.
Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children's Hospital and Seymour, Ind.-based Schneck Medical Center will receive Citations of Merit.
The awards will be presented at the Health Forum-AHA Leadership Summit in San Francisco.
