CommonSpirit makes 18 executive moves in 2026

Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, which operates more than 2,300 care sites across 24 states, has made a string of executive changes this year. 

The following moves have been reported by Becker’s since Jan. 1:

1. Greg Schwarz was named San Francisco-based Dignity Health’s market vice president of strategy and growth for Southern California.

2. Allison Corry was named senior vice president and chief supply chain officer for Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health.

3. Jake McCarty was appointed president of CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy in Omaha, Neb.

4. Tyler McDonald, BSN, RN, was appointed interim president of CHI St. Vincent Morrilton (Ark.) and vice president of central Arkansas operations.

5. Gregory Eberhart, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.

6. David Ziolkowski was appointed president of Dignity Health’s Central Valley market, which includes seven hospitals across Central California.

7. Anthony Coleman was appointed president of Dignity Health-St. Bernardine Medical Center and Community Hospital of San Bernardino in California.

8. Chad Melton was appointed president of Tacoma, Wash.-based Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s Puget Sound market.

9. Christopher Bredeson was named president of Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

10. William Jones, MD, was promoted to market president of Little Rock, Ark.-based CHI St. Vincent.

11. Augusto “Gus” Sepulveda, MD, was named chief medical officer of St. Luke’s Health’s Houston market and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.

12. Shelly Schorer, California CFO at Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, accepted a role as the system’s South region CFO.

13. Benjamin “BJ” Predum was named Central Coast market president at Dignity Health.

14. Terrence Wooten was named president of Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

15. Christine McSweeney was appointed hospital president of Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif., and Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, Calif.

16. Janelle Reilly retired as market president for Chicago-based CommonSpirit in Tennessee and Georgia.

17. Josh Neff, president of Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colo., shared plans to leave Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health. He was later named president of Logan Health Flathead Valley in Kalispell, Mont.

18. Victor Waters, MD, was named chief medical officer at University Medical Center at El Paso (Texas), leaving a Dignity medical chief role.
