CommonSpirit SVP of finance, corporate controller retires

Benjie Loanzon retired from his role as system senior vice president of finance and corporate controller at Chicago-based CommonSpirit in August, according to his LinkedIn page. 

Mr. Loanzon had served in the role since 2019, the year CommonSpirit formed through the merger of San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives. He previously served as senior vice president of finance transformation at Dignity Health. 

His previous experience also includes serving as CFO of Pleasanton, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare and vice president and corporate controller of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care, according to his LinkedIn profile. 

Mary Tyren is currently serving as CommonSpirit’s interim system senior vice president of finance and corporate controller, according to its website.
