Anthony Coleman, DHA, has been appointed president of two Dignity Health hospitals in a newly combined role.
Dr. Coleman will serve as hospital president for Dignity Health-St. Bernardine Medical Center and Community Hospital of San Bernardino (Calif.), effective June 29, according to a June 18 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in leading major medical centers and most recently served as the inaugural CEO of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington, D.C. He stepped down March 13, less than a year after the hospital opened in April 2025.
In that role, Dr. Coleman led the construction and opening of the full-service acute care hospital, expanded market share and established quality metrics above national benchmarks, according to the release.
He previously held leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente Fontana (Calif.) Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Ontario (Calif.) Medical Center.
