Josh Neff, president of Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colo., will leave Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health effective July 2 to pursue a new opportunity, Pete Powers, president of CommonSpirit’s Greater Colorado and Kansas Market, said in a statement to Becker’s.
Mr. Neff has served CommonSpirit for eight years, most recently leading the 82-bed Durango hospital since July 2024. Before joining Mercy, he served as CEO of CommonSpirit’s St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, Colo.
“We are grateful for Josh’s leadership and wish him the very best in his next chapter,” Mr. Powers said.
CommonSpirit expects to name an interim leader for Mercy Hospital within days and has begun a search for a permanent president.
