48 recent hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves have been reported by Becker's on or after Jan. 30:

1. Kelly Linden was named president and CEO of Pomona, Calif.-based Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. 

2. Kevin Klockenga was named president and CEO of Valencia, Calif.-based Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

3. Jason Chang was named executive vice president of innovation and strategy for the Queen's Health System in Honolulu, as well as inaugural president of the health system's innovation institute.

4. George Bruno, MD, will become president of the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, in addition to his current position, president of Queen's University Medical Group. 

5. Darlena Chadwick, MSN, will serve as executive vice president and COO of the Queen's Health System in Honolulu.

6. Dawn Bulgarella was named CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based UAB Health System and CEO of the UAB/Ascension St. Vincent's Alliance. 

7. Jeanine Gentry, CEO of Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colo., resigned Feb. 1 after about one year in the role.

8. Jessica McHugh, MD, was tapped to become the new chief medical officer of MultiCare Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, Wash.

9. Marisela Marrero, MD, was named senior vice president for healthcare equity and diversity, equity, and inclusion for Dallas-based Steward Health Care's national system.

10. Kristina Ko was named chief government affairs officer and vice president, government relations and public policy, for Corewell Health, a system with dual headquarters in Grand Rapids and Southfield, Mich.

11. LeAnne Andersen will serve as chief people officer of the new Bellin and Gundersen Health System, which is dual headquartered in Green Bay, Wis., and La Crosse, Wis. 

12. Paul Korth will retire as CEO of Cookeville (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center, effective May 1.

13. Nannette Berensen, PharmD, was named COO of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health.

14. Dr. Chakshu Gupta was named chief medical officer of Liberty (Mo.) Hospital.

15. Dennis Laraway was named CFO of Cleveland Clinic.

16. Larry Gray will retire later this year as president of Baptist Health Louisville (Ky.).

17. Vasantha Kondamudi, MD, was named chief medical officer of Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, N.J.

18. Matt Elsey was named executive vice president and CFO of Greenville, S.C.-based, Prisma Health.

19. Patrick Woodard, MD, was named chief health care information officer of Rapid City, S.D.-based Monument Health.

20. Thomas Rhodes was named COO of New Orleans-based Ochsner Health's River Region.

21. Steven Varga, PhD, was selected as the new dean of Memphis, Tenn.-based St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. 

22. William Kiefer, DNP, RN, was named CEO of Ottumwa (Iowa) Regional Health Center.

23. Jamie Eraas was named CEO of Tioga (N.D.) Medical Center.

24. Daniel Stross was selected as vice president and CIO of Charleston, W.V.-based Vandalia Health.

25. David Byrd, group COO of The Hospitals of Providence, and COO and CFO of the El Paso, Texas-based system's Transmountain and Sierra campuses, was promoted to CEO of theTransmountain campus. 

26. Miah Stutts was named CFO of Overland Park, Kan.-based HCA Midwest Health.

27. Melissa Wood, DNP, began her role as COO and chief nursing officer at MercyOne Clinton (Iowa) Medical Center.

28. Randall Goskowicz, MD, was selected as chief of staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas (Calif.). 

29. Richard Mendola was named vice president and CIO of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins University, both based in Baltimore. 

30. Isaac Sendros was named president and CEO of AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Ga.

31. Keith Jewell was named interim president and CEO of Noblesville, Ind.-based Riverview Health.

32. Stacy Coleman was named president of St. Anthony Hospital-Midwest in Midwest City, Okla.

33. Niki Hinckle was named senior vice president of York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health's west region.

34. Frank Calamari will retire March 10 as president and CEO of Bronx, N.Y.-based Cavalry Hospital.

35. Heath Evans was named president and CEO of Kingman (Az.) Regional Medical Center.

36. Paul Konopacki was named CFO of Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare.

37. Eduardo Conrado was named president of St. Louis-based Ascension.

38. Saad Chaudhry was promoted to chief digital and information officer of Annapolis, Md.-based Luminis Health.

39. Lesley Zurek was named senior director of human resources for Olean, N.Y.-based Upper Allegheny Health System.

40. Gary Honts, CEO of Indio, Calif.-based JFK Memorial Hospital, retired.

41. David Henry left his post as CEO of Jackson, Miss.-based Merit Health Central to become CEO of Merit Health Madison in Canton, Miss.

42. Hank Milius, president and CEO of Muncie, Ind.-based Meridian Health Services, will retire at the end of this year. 

43. Catherine Corbin was named chief business innovation officer of Memphis, Tenn.-based St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 

44. Omkar Kulkarni was promoted to vice president and chief transformation and digital officer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, 

45. Laura Maure was selected as physician services director for AdventHealth Hendersonville (N.C.).

46. Dr. Nejat Zeyneloglu was named chief medical officer of Providence, R.I.-based Women & Infants Hospital.

47. Mike Eesley was named CFO of West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health. 

48. Tom Ozburn was named CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
