Oct. 12 Last Day to Review Data for Inpatient Quality Reporting Program

Oct. 12 is the last day hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program can review corrected data on hospital-acquired conditions.

Hospitals participants in the Hospital IQR program submit data on hospital-acquired conditions, which will be collected and reported on HHS' Hospital Compare website in October and will be used for the hospital value-based purchasing program.

Hospitals are receiving a copy of their hospital-specific reports, which include hospital-acquired condition measure calculations as part of a preview period before the information is made public on Hospital Compare. The hospital-specific reports include updated HAC calculations for foreign retained objects after CMS decided to include medical discharges in addition to surgical discharges.
