Infection prevention podcast debuts

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has launched its first podcast series.

The series, called "5 Second Rule," covers a wide variety of topics pertaining to everyday infection prevention. Its first episode, released Oct. 8, focuses on dispelling myths about vaccines and promoting their benefits.

"At APIC, we believe that infection prevention is everybody's business, so our podcast covers the topics that matter to ― and affect ― everyone," said Katrina Crist, the association's CEO. "We're talking to infection preventionists and other experts to learn the truth about some common myths related to the risk of infection and to provide pertinent information to share with family, friends, and neighbors."

The podcast will air every second Tuesday and will be available via Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Podcasts and Spotify.
