36 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System tapped Mark Amey to serve as CIO.

2. Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., named Eleze Armstrong COO.

3. Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida selected Matthew Arsenault to serve as executive vice president and CFO.

4. José Baselga, MD, PhD, medical oncologist, physician-in-chief and CMO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, resigned after reports surfaced claiming he failed to disclose significant financial ties to the drug industry and other healthcare companies in more than 100 research articles.

5. Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health selected Beth P. Beckman, DNSc, to serve as its inaugural chief nursing executive.

6. St. Louis-based Ascension appointed Joseph Cacchione, MD, senior vice president of Ascension Healthcare and permanent ministry market executive for its Michigan region.

7. Rapid City, S.D.-based Regional Health named Paulette Davidson permanent president and CEO.

8. Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System appointed Richard Davis, PhD, CEO of Henry Ford Hospital, also in Detroit, effective Nov. 15.

9. Kathy Early has been named CEO and CNO of USMD Hospital at Fort Worth (Texas) after serving in those roles in an interim capacity since June.

10. Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health selected Mike Garfield to serve as president of its Mid-American Group, Nanette Bentley, a Cincinnati-based Mercy Health spokeswoman, confirmed via email.

11. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health, a 16-hospital system, appointed Rose M. Glenn, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective Sept. 24.

12. Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health hired David S. Goldberg to serve as president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.

13. Sam Hazen, Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare's president and COO, will become CEO Jan 1.

14. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare CEO R. Milton Johnson is retiring effective Dec. 31.

15. Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, Calif., appointed Lois Johnson CFO.

16. Medical City Weatherford (Texas) appointed Sean Kamber CEO, effective Oct. 1.

17. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare selected Michael Keleman to serve as market chief strategy officer for both Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, Calif.

18. White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital selected Rick McCarthy to serve as CIO.

19. Lee's Summit (Mo.) Medical Center selected John McDonald to serve as CEO.

20. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare named Dan Miller CEO of Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children's Hospital, both located in San Antonio.

21. Covington, La.-based Lakeview Regional Medical Center, a campus of New Orleans-based Tulane Medical Center, named Scott Montgomery COO.

22. North Country Hospital in Newport, Vt., named Brian Nall CEO, effective Nov. 1 or earlier.

23. Chuck Nelson, Upper Peninsula regional CEO at Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus, left the role for a new opportunity outside of healthcare.

24. Firelands Health System in Sandusky, Ohio, appointed Jeremy Normington-Slay president and CEO, effective in October.

25. Dignity Health-St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif., hired Bonnie Panlasigui as COO.

26. Dallas-based Methodist Health System appointed John Phillips president of Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

27. Lompoc (Calif.) Valley Medical Center CEO Jim Raggio is retiring, ending a 20-year tenure as hospital leader.

28. Meade, Kan.-based Artesian Valley Health System named Tara Ramlochan, MSN, RN, permanent CEO.

29. CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, Tenn., appointed Janelle Reilly market CEO.

30. Metroplex Health System in Killeen, Texas, named Kevin Roberts CEO, effective Sept. 24.

31. Pamela Robertson, president and CEO of Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Healthcare, is resigning Nov. 30.

32. The Medical Center of Aurora (Colo.) tapped Ryan Simpson to serve president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.

33. Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System appointed Jeffrey S. Sturman senior vice president and CIO.

34. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Medical Center appointed Jonathan R. Turton CEO.

35. Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Charter Township, Mich., tapped Sheri Underwood, BSN, MSN, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

36. Seaford, Del.-based Nanticoke Health Services selected Steffan Williams to serve as CIO.
