Kalispell Regional Healthcare CEO to depart in November: 6 points

Pamela Robertson, president and CEO of Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Healthcare, is resigning Nov. 30, according to a Daily Inter Lake report.

Here are six points:

1. Ms. Robertson said in a statement obtained by Daily Inter Lake that she cannot continue in her position at Kalispell Regional for personal reasons. She will, however, continue to serve in an advisory capacity for the health system's leadership.

2. She became president and CEO of the organization in September 2017.

3. She formerly served as president and CEO of Christus Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas.

4. Ms. Robertson's departure comes just months after the organization came under federal investigation by the HHS Office of Inspector General and the Department of Justice over compensation for certain physicians. Also, a 91-page federal complaint filed by Kalispell Regional Healthcare Physician Network CFO Jon Mohatt alleges the hospital engaged in a kickback scheme to boost revenues.

5. The organization's CFO and CIO Charles Pearce resigned in April and Chief Nursing Officer Karen Lee, RN, announced plans to retire Dec. 31.

6. The statement obtained by Daily Inter Lake notes that the challenges are being resolved, and that Ms. Robertson "has extreme confidence in the organization's future."
