Here are three things to know:
1. Mr. Amey comes to Alameda from University of California San Diego Health, where he served as associate CIO.
2. He has previously served as chief technology officer at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital-Stanford Health in Palo Alto, Calif., and CIO at University of Southern California Health in Los Angeles.
3. In his new role, Mr. Amey will be responsible for overall IT strategy, and he will oversee Alameda Health System’s new EHR implementation project.
