21 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network named Robert White, MD, CMIO, effective in May.

2. Kim Ryan was named president of WellStar Atlanta Medical Center and its south campus in East Point, Ga.

3. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health named Shannon Fiser CFO of the company's Western Group of facilities, effective May 16.

4. David Bunch was named president and chief administrative officer of Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tenn., effective April 25.

5. The Northern Inyo Healthcare District named Kelli Huntsinger COO.

6. Owensboro (Ky.) Health named Greg Strahan interim president and CEO.

7. Stanford (Calif.) Health Care appointed David Entwistle president and CEO, effective July 5.

8. Indianapolis-based Community Health Network named Anita Capps, BSN, RN, chief nursing executive for Community Hospital South, effective April 18.

9. Copley Health Systems in Morrisville, Vt., named Arthur "Art" Mathisen president and CEO.

10. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) fired Ron Adler, the CEO of Western State Hospital, a Lakewood, Wash.-based psychiatric facility, after two patients deemed "dangerous" escaped.

11. McAlester (Okla.) Regional Health Center named Jason Bray CIO.

12. Bobby Arnold, CEO of Jackson-based West Tennessee Healthcare, resigned.

13. Mercy Health in Cincinnati appointed Randall Curnow, MD, CMO of Mercy Health and president of Mercy Health Select, the system's accountable care organization.

14. Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky., hired Gary R. Colberg as its new president and CEO.

15. Larry Gold, CEO of Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, left his post to pursue other opportunities.

16. New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., appointed COO John Gizdic the successor for president and CEO Jack Barto, who is retiring.

17. Great Bend (Kan.) Regional Hospital named Kerry Noble CEO.

18. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health appointed three senior executives. Anton Decker, MD, will serve as the system's chief clinical officer. Brian Smith has been named system COO. Drew Banks was appointed system chief strategy officer.

19. Chicago-based Presence Health appointed Jim Kelly as system CFO.

20. Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares named Anita Young COO.

21. New CEOs were named at Florida Hospital New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach and Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast. Ken Mattison, CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler, was appointed CEO of Florida Hospital New Smyrna, formerly Bert Fish Medical Center. Ronald Jimenez, MD, was named the new CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler.
