Allegheny Health Network taps Cleveland Clinic exec as CMIO: 4 things to know

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network has named Robert White, MD, CMIO, effective in May.

Here are four things to know about Dr. White.

1. He has served as associate CMIO at the Cleveland Clinic since 2011.

2. At Cleveland Clinic, Dr. White has been responsible for directing EHR integration, implementation and optimization among the organization's many healthcare professionals and facilities.

3. Prior to his position in Cleveland, Dr. White was CMIO of OSF Healthcare System in Peoria, Ill., for six years.

4. As CMIO at AHN, Dr. White will direct and champion the adoption by physicians of AHN's Epic EHR and other technology solutions, according to AHN.
