Mr. Entwistle will replace Stanford Health Care’s current interim President and CEO, Mariann Byerwalter. Ms. Byerwalter has served in her position since January when former CEO Amir Dan Rubin took a position as executive vice president at UnitedHealth Group.

Mr. Entwistle is currently CEO of Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics, a position he has held since 2007.

Before his tenure at UUHC, Mr. Entwistle held various executive positions — including COO — at Madison-based University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, as well as at Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope National Medical Center.
